You should choose a golf bag travel cover according to your needs. Everybody’s needs are different, and you should check out the pros and cons of the hard travel covers and the soft. There are times when the hard cover is best and others when you would be easier with the soft one.
If you fly a lot, you would be well advised to get yourself a hard travel cover for your golf bag and clubs. These covers can be thrown about a bit by baggage handlers, no matter how many ‘fragile’ stickers you put on them. On the other hand if you only travel occasionally by car, you will find a soft golf travel cover provides sufficient protection, especially if packed properly, and is also lighter and easier to travel with.
Check out the Other Features
The common features that you should be looking out for include padding for your club heads, to prevent them hitting against each other and getting damaged, and decent strapping that secures your golf bag inside, so preventing it banging around inside and damaging the club shafts.
Other things that are of use are external strapping to hold a small carry case or laptop case, secure pockets for shoes and a good set of handles. Many people forget that they have to carry the travel cover to the car, load it into the boot and pull it out again. A good set of straps makes that easier. The wheels should also be fairly large and quite robust. You don’t want them buckling or sticking when you are walking through airport terminals
If you are Alone then too Much Luggage can be a Problem
You must keep in mind that unless you have others to help you, you will have a golf travel cover in one hand and a suitcase in the other. Any other baggage you have will be a problem. Your travel cover should have has much storage space as possible. If you can get one that takes a change of clothing plus a few toiletries for one or two nights, then that would be great. You could then dispense with at least one suitcase, and your golf case could be the only luggage you have with you.
All of these extras, and more, such as coolers with chill packs, are good but you must not take your mind off the whole reason for having a golf bag cover: it is for protection during travel. So assess the amount of traveling you expect to do and choose your bag from that. Lots of flying demands a hard cover and if you are mostly driving, or perhaps flying only once a year, you should find a les expensive soft cover is your best option.
Some Travel Covers will fit onto your Golf Buggy
There are cases to be made for each option, so once you have decided that, then check out all the other options that are available to you; the customization, the color and so on. If you opt for the soft cover, you may be able to use it out on the golf course without having to take your golf bag out. That saves a bit of work and also gives your clubs added protection. You can fit them to your cart or golf buggy, and you don’t even have to carry them around the golf course.
There is a lot of choice available to you when you are shopping for a golf bag travel cover, and lots of makers supply a range to suit their own range of golf bags. It’s best to match your cover with your golf bag which assures you of a perfect fit, than to try to fit a golf bag by one maker into a cover produced by another.
Make sure you know what you want then go and get it. You are going to have it for a long time so make the right choice.

Why shouldnt Obama be proud to leave Mex. Border Open?
You have the LIPAC (an organization who generally knows what their doing) versus a president whos been in office for 100 days his supporting cabinet urges him to atleast issue public warnings to travelers, and he stands by his message during a time of death WITH AN OPEN BORDER and PANDEMIC we need to make sure were using soap when we wash up… I could have voted for Dr. Jack Kavorkian and gotten a "wash your hands" answer… And hes proudly pops out his chin, with absolutely no excuse to why he leaves it open other then his text book pretty talk that has no base or ground answer… well this isnt just about "change" its definitely not about "the same ol players and same ol politics" this is about a contagion that is preventable, and while the rest of the world battens down the hatches… Obama (the only one who has the right to say it) wont close or urge borders closed… AMERICA HAS NO VOICE… we have an ignorant ILLEGAL ALIEN RUNNING OUR COUNTRY AND SUBJECTING US TO EVERY ENTITY THAT CAN CAUSE US HARM. AND HES F’N PROUD OF IT???!!?!?!?!
Americans for Legal Immigration PAC calls on the Obama administration to immediately close the southern border and restrict all inbound air and ground traffic from Mexico to emergencies and product delivery immediately to protect American lives from the Mexican Swine Flu outbreak.
"The Obama administration’s failure to secure our borders against a possible pandemic is putting American lives at risk at a time when days and hours matter," said William Gheen of ALIPAC. "The weak and inadequate "passive surveillance" described during Sunday’s press conference is offensive to the rational mind."
Instead of advising American tourists not to travel to Mexico, or closing border crossings and air travel gates to essential travel only, the Obama administration is treating Mexico like a 51st state, instead of separate nation.
ALIPAC is also critical of Obama administration’s failure to appoint key leadership prior to this crisis. America is entering this crisis without a secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) or appointees in any of the department’s 19 key posts. President Barack Obama has not yet chosen a surgeon general or the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. His choice to run the Food and Drug Administration awaits confirmation.
"Obama was playing golf Sunday. Instead, he should have been addressing the nation, securing the borders, and filling the gaps in our government leadership from an emergency command center!" said William Gheen. "He refuses to send troops to the border to stop the violence from spilling over or the Mexican flu from crossing into America. Instead we get second tier bureaucrats telling Americans to wash our hands and cover our mouths when we cough like a bunch of 1st grade students."
Obama recently traveled to Mexico to pledge his support for Comprehensive Immigration Reform Amnesty and the unconstitutional implementation of the Security and Prosperity Partnership launched under the Bush administration found at SPP.gov The SPP, which has no approval from the American public or Congressional oversight states borders should remain open during pandemics… "(border restrictions) will not be more restrictive or maintained longer than necessary to achieve the veterinary or public health objective so as to avoid unnecessary interference with the movement of people and goods within North America."
The Mexican Swine Flu outbreak impact on the American populace will be more severe due to the lack of action by the Obama administration, their failure to appoint a head of Health and Human Services and a Surgeon General and Obama’s adherence to an economic plan which supersedes US Sovereignty, the laws of Congress, and civilian control.
"We are asking our supporters to call their Congressional representatives immediately to demand that Congress hold emergency hearings to override the open borders policies of the Obama administration and protect our citizens from this potential pandemic." said William Gheen
Floyd…
The flu itself isnt anything to be worried about – the N1H1 Virus of the flu dies within 48 – 120 hours… the virus that uses N1H1 as a host and vessel of entry and gestation that we have never before seen, we dont know long term effect, we dont know anything other than its strand composure and violent activity has only been seen one other time in the last 20 years… and that was ebola. The 100 plus that have died already in mexico didnt die of a fever, this they died of Hemmoraging..
SO, with that, your idea of this being blown out of proportion, is the same as saying AIDS is being blown out of proportion, only this nasty little carrier virus is now communicable through air. I understand you lack of concern, and that (an already crappy) market is more important to you than possibily devestating out posterity. Its a shame Obama doesnt give us a DEMOCRACY the right to decide and the children the right to decide. but we already know how he feels about little ones dont we?
Olan Black… god bless you… not everybody can be as concerned about the poor condition of NAFTA (The worlds most socialist idea yet) WHEN PEOPLE ARE DIEING OF A VIRUS that uses the 3 different H1 strand virus’ as a vessel in to the human body. We know that people have been drying from hemmorages vs fever… not a flu like characteristic. we know that its gestation period is 10-48 hours, then it moves directly to the spine (much like all virus’) and that this tiny worm like virus has the longest table life (outside of host) in air, water or oily res. for up to 12 hours (longest living virus known) is not effected to UV like AIDS or others. Its killed over a hundred, and the carriers lungs needed drained for autopsy. How bout that? want it in your back yard? alteast the market wont be so bad when WERE ALL SICK! Ahh.. and these med experts are still months away from a vac. and the FDA supply of 12mil tamiflu treatments is gone, oh heres the great part, THEY SAY IT ISNT WORKING!!!!!!!!!

i’m not reading all that…
**edit – ok, i lied, i couldn’t stop myself from reading it. very well put. i didn’t know all that, but i’m a supporter of closing the borders and trying to encourage people coming into country to do things the ‘right way’ for their own benefit and well being in this country so they don’t have to live like 2nd class citizens. this points one more chip in that stack as far as i’m concerned.

Yes, close the southern border. Build a wall across it, like the one on the island in the movie "King Kong".

Maybe because economic recovery is more important than a flu that kills toddlers and old people. This whole thing is getting blown way out of proportion – it must be a slow media week.

Dude, get a blog. Nobody wants to read a rambling rant on Y!A. The border status has nothing to d with "pride". It has to do with common sense. Its been considered and determined that closing it will do great economic harm and provide almost nothing in the way of addition protection from the flu.
The flu is already here. If it continues to arrive, it will likely be with Americans who are returning from Mexico or other places where there are outbreaks. I think planes, trains, etc should be checked upon arrival similar to the SARS precautions we saw.

Let’s see, Bush did nothing to secure our southern border for the seven years following 9/11. Had he, we more than likely would not be facing this dilemma. Looking back, we must all question if his taking one extended vacation after the other was any way to TCB. Yep, just another republican screw up, all while they keep chanting "We Keep You Safe."

The simple truth is: Obama’s political decision to have open borders and destroy the American economy, health and sovereignty, in favor of a "one world" approach to his Socialist Agenda, is his driving ambition in life.
Obama will lie and give specious arguments all day long (as long as his teleprompter is working) to further his Elitist Tyranny.
Obama will have the best and YOU will pay for it.
You and your grandchildren will be his slavish serfs forever.

SInce their government has hinted that the flu might have originated in the USA, they shouldn’t mind that we restrict our borders to travel. That will protect them as well from cross-contamination.
I just answered a question about the government keeping out of the flu situation. However, the border situation is the federal government’s jurisdiction and flu or no flu they should be attending the free-flow problem. The illegal immigration problem goes way beyond this flu outbreak.

From Barry’s press conference yesterday
QUESTION: Thank you, Mr. President. With the flu outbreak spreading and worsening, can you talk about whether you think it’s time to close the border with Mexico and whether — under what conditions you might consider quarantining, when that might be appropriate?
OBAMA: Well, first of all, as I said, this is a cause for deep concern, but not panic. And I think that we have to make sure that we recognize that how we respond intelligently, systematically, based on science and what public health officials have to say, will determine in large part what happens.
I’ve consulted with our public health officials extensively on a day-to-day basis, in some cases an hour-to-hour basis. At this point, they have not recommended a border closing. From their perspective, it would be akin to closing the barn door after the horses are out, because we already have cases here in the United States.
wtf? That lacks logic!

There is a pattern here.
Napolitano just diverted grant money for US border control to assets that are screening persons, cars, commericial vehicles and rail leaving the US for Mexico. This secures Mexico’s border, not America’s.
Now we are being told NOT to travel to Mexico but, the border will remain open to Mexicans traveling to the US.
Think about the list of nations that restrict the passage of their own citizens leaving but are open to the world’s citizens coming in.
Cuba
North Korea
Laos
Viet Nam
China
Cambodia
Venezuela
Bolivia
The United States of America

Hey,
open your eyes and ears. they have been saying for days on all the news channels a warning about traveling to and from Mexico. Second, look at what your asking:
close the border, that will result in the following:
US will be out of all vegetables in about 5 days (they are imported during this time of year, from South America)
Trucking companies would have to lay off most drivers
US growers would loose all of the current crops due to no migrant workers
All imports and exports from South America would stop
US companies would hold the federal government responsible and ask for compensation.
Not to mention the fact that US crops feed about 50% of the world, so if we close the borders, and don’t have migrant workers to tend the crops, half of the world would starve.

It appears that no American president will close the border.
the border with Mexico will not be closed until America’s standard of living is lower than Mexico’s. Then Mexico will shut the border immediately, and tight – showing that it in fact can be done.

When asked that question last night, Mr Obama said that he was not going to jump the gun on anything, but be guided by the recommendations of the medical community and the CDC on restricting travel or "closing" borders.
Mr Obama DID nominate a person to serve as Secretary of HHS. Her nomination was held up by Senate Republicans over her stance on women’s rights. They finally caved under pressure from all quarters due to the potential thread from the Swine Flu. Kathleen Sebelius was sworn in yesterday.
RADM Steven K. Galson, appointed by GW Bush in 2007, continues to serve as Acting Surgeon General until a new one is nominated by the President. He, along with the Surgeons General of the military services, has stated that there is no need to be alarmist about the Swine Flu outbreak at present.
